Chris Betton has a plethora of experience in the arts as a performer, director, teacher,
producer, technician and manager.
With his band Nothing Sinister, Chris went from playing in a garage to his mates, to playing at the O2
Arena's IndigO2 three thousand seater venue within just 18 months of forming the band at the tender age
of sixteen. Having placed 7th out of a whopping 12,000 bands across the UK, going on to record E.Ps at the
same studios as Elton John and The Drifters and having music videos and interview appearances on Sky
television, Chris believes he's cracked the formula for taking a rock band from A to B in a few very simple
steps, and he has the experience to back up his claims.
Chris took a step back from his ventures in music in 2010 to focus on his work in theatre. Since then, Chris
has devised and performed in more than twenty five pieces of Contemporary Theatre - one of which was
taken overseas as part of an international European arts festival in Evora, Portugal in August 2012 - and
opened Generate Theatre Arts. After completing his degree in May of 2013, Chris has been trained in an
inexplicably large range of theatrical disciplines and practices and is taking his position as a theatre practitioner
very seriously, endeavouring to create a whole new kind of theatre.
In 2012, Chris was approached and asked to appear as a guest speaker at NK Theatre Arts' "Changing Lives"
Charity Gala, along side other special guests Peter Andre and Jason Manford. The night was a huge success,
earning thousands for the young people who train there.
In his capacity as Creative Director, Chris has undertaken the direction and execution of fashion shows,
theatre productions, corporate meetings, the Noiz LIVE division of NMC, multi-centred festivals and much more. Thereis more to tell on Chris Betton, but we only have one page for him. For more on what Chris does or what he can offer you and your event or organisation, get in touch!
